It was back in 1991 that Mark Gibson decided there should be more of a choice in home delivery than was currently provided by a couple of fast food pizza makers and Restaurant Express was born. Founded as Galloping Gourmet, the name was changed to better represent the wide variety of cuisine that was soon available for delivery from the Palm Springs Resorts favorite restaurants.
Gibson, a big delivery customer, used his experience as a student growing up in the restaurant business as a cook, waiter and manager, and later experience with marketing television, radio, public relations and with full service advertising firms to create what has become the Desert's #1 restaurant delivery venue. The Restaurant Express Dining Guide has evolved into the areas most popular directory of restaurant menus for dining out as well as delivery. With over 2 million meals delivered, Restaurant Express continues to pursue advances in technology by providing updated menus and online ordering via the web, automated electronic two-way messaging, two way radio communication and GPS software integration with all Waiter/Drivers, outstanding customer service training and support as well as the best selection of dining options for the discriminating customer.
