Why Do We Need To Confirm the Online Order By Phone? |
 |
There are often subtle items that may need clarification on your order, such as condiments needed, any gate codes or delivery address information, as well as elimination of possible fraud. We will contact you within minutes of your internet order (or well before your advanced internet order) to confirm the items and details of your order. You may include a cell phone number for confirmation, but we will always require a land line phone number to the delivery location.

How Long Does It Take For Delivery? |
 |
Because each item is specially prepared to your order, delivery normally takes about an hour. Occasionally, an order may take longer due to a variety of reasons, such as larger orders, unusually busy restaurant kitchen, and traffic or road conditions. Customers with large delivery orders or time constraints are encouraged to place their orders 24 hours or more in advance to ensure timely delivery. To ensure the safety of our Waiter/Drivers and the general public, we cannot guarantee delivery times.

How Much Should I Tip My Waiter/Driver? |
 |
At Restaurant Express, we feel that your Waiter/Drivers go to as much effort as a food server in a restaurant, probably more! They go to extensive measures to ensure your meal is complete and correct; they check, pack, carry, drive, locate you and park with your meal as fast and as carefully as possible. They use their own vehicles, equipment and gasoline.
While a server in a restaurant may service several tables at once, your
Waiter/Driver is dedicated to your order exclusively, for up to an hour. A
15% gratuity for your Waiter/Driver is included in your order, however many
customers present an additional gratuity to the Waiter/Driver for exceptional
service. While the delivery charge goes to the company, your gratuity goes directly to your Waiter/Driver.

Why Do You Charge a Delivery charge? |
 |
Some delivery services charge you, the customer, as much as 30% or more over the restaurant prices for meals delivered, and charge a delivery fee! We charge only the prices as given to us by the restaurant, plus a nominal $7.99
to $10.99delivery fee, depending on your distance from the restaurant, no matter how many meals you order.
There are several factors involved in getting your meals delivered to you fast, hot and fresh:
- Restaurant Express uses state-of-the-art computer equipment and custom designed software that helps us keep all your information on file so you don't have to repeat your address, location and directions every time you order. Your order is electronically dispatched to the kitchen of the restaurant you select.
- Our sophisticated computer systems, special thermal carrying containers, two-way radio and messaging communication with all waiter/drivers, specialized training and fully itemized receipt all work together to ensure you receive your meal as fast as possible and in the best condition. Even better than if you had picked it up yourself.
When you consider your costs for gasoline, a babysitter, parking valet, and your time involved, we feel this is an exceptional value
for the nominal delivery charge.

Can I Cancel My Order? |
 |
Because we electronically transmit your order to the restaurant, orders cannot be canceled once they are placed, online orders will be confirmed by phone before being placed.

 |

What If I Am Not In Your Delivery Zone or Want a Restaurant From Another Zone? |
 |
Delivery areas are limited to ensure your meal is received in a timely manner and in the best condition: hot, fresh and delicious. Our goal is to make sure your order is in transit for no more than
16 minutes. Larger or catering orders placed in advance may be available for delivery outside the restaurants normal delivery zone. Please ask your representative for details.

What Is The "Convenience Fee"? |
 |
Because many customers choose to pay by credit card or by their own corporate charge account, the costs involved in non cash transactions are higher than for cash transactions. Rather than charge everyone a higher price, we reflect the convenience fee only on non-cash transactions and offer those customers that pay by cash a
5% discount or no convenience fee for cash transactions.

My Online Bank Statement Shows A Higher Charge Than I Signed For? |
 |
It is standard for restaurant electronic credit card authorizations to request an additional 20% over the meal amount to allow the customer the option of adding a tip or gratuity to the transaction. This over-authorized amount is only an authorized amount, your card or account will only be charged for the amount you authorize at the time of delivery. However, it may take a day or two for the additional authorized sum to be released by your credit card company. Some card processors may take as much as a week to release these funds. In most cases this isn't an issue, as funds are secured from a revolving credit line, but we understand that it can be inconvenient when the funds are being secured from a checking account or debit card because it may limit access to these funds for a couple of days.
